Guy brings over 20 years’ experience as a professional ecologist working at the leading edge of industry innovation and strategy in biodiversity and natural capital. Guy has held global roles at some of the largest consulting and advisory firms, helping shape Nature-based solutions investment strategy for some of the world’s leading companies, and being an integral part in the development of many Nature-related frameworks and standards.
Guy’s work is grounded in a commitment to call out structural untruths, elevate and centre First Nations leadership, and design nature finance that is accountable to living systems, not just balance sheets.
Guy possesses a deep interest in primate conservation science, and the use of digital media and community-led storytelling to support effective conservation strategies.

A wildlife conservation specialist with more than 10 years of hands-on experience in China’s protected area system. Core expertise in GIS-based habitat planning, endangered species monitoring, and human-wildlife conflict resolution aligned with China’s Ecological Redline Policy. Certified in IUCN Protected Area Management and skilled in securing NDRC/GEF funding.
Chu Yuan’s practice is rooted in listening to communities and landscapes, surfacing the real trade‑offs in conservation, and aligning finance with China’s ecological redline in practice, not just policy
